The optical, electronic and magnetic properties of complex oxides present a large and rich of variety of behaviors. Their confinement to the nanoscale, beyond their integration in multilayers, has led to the discovery of new effects in recent decades and the design and fabrication of artificial materials with specific functionalities has given them a place in the family of quantum materials. In my talk, I will present the most recent results in the area of oxide spintronics, introducing the lines of research that we are addressing with our team, including the experimental challenges that these types of materials face when they are manipulated on the nanometer scale.
